Former Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi’s Principal Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti approached the court to cancel the transfer of Mandi Bahauddin to Jhelum Jail.
Justice Ali Zia Bajwa of Lahore High Court heard the application, in which the accused pleaded that facilities are not being provided even to a Grade 22 officer in Jhelum Jail.

Bhatti pleaded that the court order to provide special privileges to the accused grade 22 officer in jail. IG Punjab, IG Jails, Chief Secretary Punjab and others were made parties in the petition.
Muhammad Khan Bhatti said that all the cases against him by the anti-corruption establishment are political. The court issued a notice to them and sought their reply.

Mohammad Khan Bhatti is facing charges of corruption. He was sent to Mandi Bahauddin Jail. Later it has been shifted to Jhelum.
Additional Advocate General Ghulam Sarwar Nahang appeared in the court on behalf of the Punjab government. The counsel for the Punjab Government opposed the application of Muhammad Khan Bhatti.
He said that it is not his right to keep the accused in the jail of his choice.
