Government and private schools in 10 districts of Punjab will remain closed on Saturday, November 18, in view of the worsening smog situation.
Along with educational institutions in Lahore, markets, gyms, shops and cinemas will also remain closed till 3 pm, as per the latest government notification.
The precautionary measure has been specifically targeted at areas that are most affected by smog, including Lahore, Nankana, Sheikhupura, Kasur and Gujranwala. In the notification, the closure has been extended to Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad and Mandi Bahauddin on the same day.
