Two youths drowned while bathing in the river Chenab in the limits of Qadirabad police station of Tehsil Phalia yesterday.
Both belonged to village Kalan Shadian located on the banks of river Chenab in Tehsil Phalia of District Mandi Bahauddin.

The youths have been identified as 13-year-old Ahmad Yar and 12-year-old Usman, who were friends and had gone to bathe in the river due to extreme heat. However, he slipped into deep water and drowned.
As soon as the incident was reported, the team of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and after about two hours of effort, they recovered the bodies of the two boys and handed them over to their relatives.
