Mandi Bahauddin. Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman formally launched the program “Ab Gaon Chamkein Ge” at Mandi Bahauddin village Chillianwala on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary said that under the “Ab Gaon Chamkein Gee” programme, villages will also be provided sanitary staff and sanitation facilities like cities.
He said that village committees consisting of local people will be formed to make the program successful, necessary machinery will be provided at the Union Council level for cleaning in the villages.
The chief secretary said that the program would address the long-standing problem of indecency in villages, ensuring regular cleaning of streets and drains.
He asked the people that the Punjab government should fully support the district administration in making this program a success.
