A man from Lahore shot dead a young woman in front of her father a day later.
Isha, a class 12 student, was shot dead by a motorcyclist in Lahore Chowhan neighborhood on Wednesday. The police suspect that his classmate Hanan has something to do with the murder.
Hanan was a resident of Mandi Bahauddin and studied with Isha in Lahore. He shot himself when the police arrived at his home to arrest him. The motive behind Isha’s murder could not be clarified till Thursday.
The police have registered a First Information Report against the unidentified motorcyclists on the complaint of his father, Abdul Ghaffar, retired deputy director of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
According to the first information report filed by Ghaffar at Chohang police station, the motorcyclists fired a single shot at Isha and fled.
Esha was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries. She was the youngest of three sisters.
