The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested the human smuggler involved in the tragic accident of the Libyan boat while conducting operations in Gujranwala circle.
The accused was identified as Imtiaz Ahmed who was arrested from Mandi Bahauddin. He went into hiding after the Greece boat incident.

The arrested man is suspected of having planned an illegal operation aimed at transporting innocent civilians from Libya to Europe. The illegal scheme came to light after investigations revealed that the accused received a large sum of money from a citizen, amounting to Rs 1,450,000, to facilitate the transfer of the latter’s son to Libya via Italy.
Tragically, the son of the concerned citizen is reported missing, adding a heartbreaking aspect to the unfolding events. The FIA has launched a thorough investigation into the matter to determine the whereabouts and well-being of the missing person.
The accused Imtiaz Ahmed is now in the custody of FIA and the process of investigation is going on.
