Mandi Bahauddin DC asked to verify sugar stocks in mills

Cane Commissioner Punjab has asked the Deputy Commissioners of all districts to verify the sugar stock in their respective areas on the premises of sugar mills and in their godowns for the crushing season 2022-23.

The district administration has been asked to provide complete details of sugar production and to whom the stock was sold on a particular Performa till the morning of June 22, 2023.

According to the letter issued by Cane Commissioner Punjab Abdul Rauf to the deputy commissioners, who, as per the law, are additional cane commissioners, to constitute teams comprising district administration, special branch, anti-corruption, food department, industries department and FBR for re-verification of sugar stocks.

“This report shall be signed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner/Additional Commissioner of Can to verify the same contents of the above stock verification report,” the letter added.

Send the letter to the District Administration of Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Leyyah, Khanewal, Okara, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Jhang, Sialkot and Kot Addu has been done

According to sources in the Cane Commissioner’s Office, 41 sugar mills are functioning in the province and some mills are showing stock sales but still have the stock.
