ANF recovered more than 64 kg of drugs. Four arrests

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized more than 64 kg of narcotics in five operations and arrested four accused, a spokesperson at the ANF headquarters said here on Friday.

He said that ANF foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs from Peshawar to Dera Ismail Khan and recovered 12 kg of hashish on the Kohat-Indus Highway. The accused resident of Dera Ismail Khan was sent behind bars.

In another operation, the ANF and FC recovered 30 kg of hashish and 2.4 kg of opium from a drain in Sri Shan Khel area. The spokesman said that four capsules filled with hashish were also recovered from the possession of a Sharjah-bound passenger, a resident of Bannu, who was arrested at Bacha Khan International Airport.

During the operation at Sialkot Airport, 8.4 kg of heroin hidden in the bag of a passenger going to Spain, a resident of Mandi Bahauddin, was recovered, while 11.7 kg of ice drug was recovered from the possession of the accused, a resident of Qila Abdullah, who was caught from Chaman Friendship Gate area. Done.

He said that separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigation is going on.
